Exapmeples of my work for Airport City Planning at amd.sigma GmbH

Airport City

Conceived as the landside extension of the airport itself, the Airport City projects translate aviation infrastructure into mixed-use urban development. Developed within amd.sigma’s strategic planning approach, they combine real estate, mobility, energy, and public realm into integrated concepts that support both airport operations and long-term commercial value.

Rather than treating the airport as an isolated transport asset, the design approach understands it as a small city: a place where business, logistics, hospitality, workspaces, and new mobility systems can be brought together in a coherent spatial framework.

Each concept is shaped by phasing, market logic, and operational realities, allowing growth to happen step by step while maintaining flexibility over time. The result is an Airport City strategy that feels practical, place-specific, and forward-looking: a model for turning underused landside areas into resilient districts with identity, economic purpose, and strong regional connections.
